Our very own 2nd-Degree Black Belt Ms. Lisa Hughes will be leading the 1 Mile Fun Run. Like last year, this race will be in our parking lot. If you have someone in your group that is running/walking the 1Mile, that race will start at about 9:15 at the Karate School. If you have people in your group that are running the 5K, and you have others running the 1 Mile, you can drop the 1 Mile-rs in the karate school, and pick them up in the karate school when you've completed the 5K. Ms. Hughes, 3rd-Degree Black Belt Ms. Young, and 2nd-Degree Black Belt Ms. Selwyn as well as a few other volunteers will make sure all of the runners stay in the school until a parent or someone in their group gets them!
Our Community Day will begin immediately following the races. Our vendors will be set up by 9AM, so that when everyone is done the 5K and 1 Mile, you can head over and enjoy the day! Cake Art by Amy will be supplying cupcakes for all of the participants! Dr. Heidi with Healing Energies will be doing post-race adjustments and massage. Sweet & Sassy will be there with the limo doing fun updo's for the girls. To Love a Canine will be there with some puppies and dogs that are available for adoption. We will have a petting zoo. We will have a bounce house and slide, courtesy of The Party Center! Tom Carroll will be DJ'ing the entire event! We will have the dunk tank there again this year!
